To support a style as detailed and effortless as Matteo's, a guitar needs to react instantly to every touch.Yamaha built the RS20MM with their proprietary Acoustic Design process, featuring a chambered mahogany body with a gorgeous flamed maple top.This gives the instrument a lively, airy resonance while keeping the overall weight light enough for long studio sessions and gigs
The set-in, 3-piece mahogany neck is reinforced with carbon rods for rock-solid stability and finished in smooth satin.Paired with a 24.75" scale length, 12" fretboard radius, and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, this guitar makes position shifts and complex chord voicings feel effortless.
A Masterclass In Tonal Versatility
Instead of standard humbuckers, the RS20MM packs a pair of DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups.Their softer magnetic pull lets strings vibrate freely, serving up singing sustain, organic warmth, and incredibly expressive touch response.

5-Way Switching with a Twist:Positions 2 and 4 introduce a subtle phase shift by slightly delaying the opposite pickup—delivering an entirely new spin on classic "in-between" tones.
Passive Focus Switch:Pull up on the master tone knob to activate a passive boost that emulates overwound pickups—darkening the highs while beefing up the mids and lows for aggressive lead work.
