Crafted in Japan. Built to Perform.

The FG/FS7 is the guitar serious players can't live without. Crafted in Japan with the same design philosophy as Yamaha's flagship FG/FS9, it delivers the tone, response and playability that rewards every hour you've put in.

• Powerful Projection and Clarity - The guitar delivers outstanding projection with exceptional clarity and articulate tone, making it an ideal companion for singer-songwriters. This sound is brought to life by features including an optimal scalloped X‑bracing pattern for the Sitka spruce top and a reinforced back, realized through a unique "Acoustic Design" development approach that unites scientific analysis with skilled craftsmanship.
• Understated Traditional Japanese Aesthetic - Traditional Japanese aesthetics add a touch of refined and unique character with subtle grace. The inner label is made from traditional washi paper, while the rosette features rope‑shaped inlays inspired by classic Japanese motifs. Fretboard inlays draw from ancient Kumiki woodworking methods, reflecting the meticulous artistry of Japanese craftsmanship.
• Atmosfeel™ Pickup System for Naturally Amplified Sound - Acoustic/electric models are equipped with the Atmosfeel pickup system. The system combines a piezo sensor in the bridge for low frequencies, a microphone for low and midrange frequencies, and our proprietary contact sensor for high frequencies. The result is a full, natural sound with remarkable definition, controlled by simple settings that preserve the guitar's authentic voice.
